Due to the growth of GNT USA we are looking for a full-time:
Production Operator
The Production Operator is a vital member of our team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of food processing machinery. This role ensures that production runs smoothly, meets quality standards, and adheres to safety protocols, contributing to the overall success of the production process.
The role:
- Safely operate and monitor various food processing equipment, including mixing tanks, pumps, filling machines, and packaging machines. Set up machinery for production runs and make adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications. Report deviations or defects and collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve issues.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including GMP, HACCP, and SOPs. Maintain a clean, sanitary work area to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
- Work with the team to meet daily production targets and maintain workflow efficiency. Minimize downtime by identifying and addressing equipment issues or production bottlenecks.
- Accurately record production data and batch information in logbooks and computer systems. Complete required reports and inventory forms in a timely and organized manner.
- Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials and finished products. Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials to prevent mix-ups and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency. Contribute ideas and participate in problem-solving discussions to enhance productivity.
- Attend regular safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols. Actively identify potential hazards and promptly report incidents or near misses.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
Additional responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned safety training in a timely manner.
- Stay current with all required training and ensure timely completion.
- Follow the Company’s established processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and product quality guidelines.
- Maintain a collaborative team mindset while actively supporting GNT’s Food Safety culture.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure your uniform is neat at all times, and support colleagues in adhering to hygiene standards.
About you, as our ideal candidate:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or a related industry is preferred, but not required.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to lift at least 55 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control practices is a plus.
- Commitment to adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Familiarity with GNT’s company culture and values.
