With EXBERRY®, you can rely on comprehensive support from formulation to regulation to ensure successful results in kibbles, baked treats and snacks, and semi-moist treats.
Kibbles for cats and dogs
EXBERRY® fruit, vegetable, and plant concentrates can be used to achieve a wide range of shades in dry kibbles. The extrusion process requires high temperatures, but it is possible to achieve a complete spectrum of shades with careful formulation. High bulk density increases color intensity while low bulk density makes for a paler shade.

Baked treats and snacks for dogs
Plant-based EXBERRY® concentrates can deliver a complete spectrum of bright shades in treats and snacks. To ensure the best possible results with blues, greens, and reds, it is advisable to minimize baking times or increase the dosage. The base color will have an impact on the product appearance. For example, beef liver-based products will appear significantly darker than products made with chicken meat powder.

Semi-moist treats for cats and dogs
EXBERRY® concentrates add nutritional appeal to semi-moist treats while enabling manufacturers to adjust semi-moist treats’ natural brown hue. Yellow, orange, and red shades achieve a lighter appearance, while blue, green, and brown will help to darken the shade. For optimal results, it is best to avoid excessive heat exposure with blues, greens, and reds.
