Due to the growth of the GNT Group we are looking a fulltime:

HSE Engineer

In our small and highly motivated team of HSE experts, you are the one with the strongest technical expertise. You focus on projects, innovations, and complex technical questions related to the health of our people, safety aspects within the four GNT Safety Pillars, and reducing GNT’s environmental impact.

In addition, you contribute to solving the everyday challenges and problems that operational production facilities in the food industry can present to the HSE department. During safety studies, you are comfortable both taking the lead and participating as a team member. Switching between a strategic, long-term, abstract mindset and the practical aspects of daily operations comes naturally to you.

We value professionalism, collaboration, and the ability to bring both calmness and high energy when the situation requires it. You are able to travel independently by car between our locations in Mierlo, Aachen, and Heinsberg, can safely move around our facilities, and approach your workday with a positive smile. We don’t care about your age or gender, what matters to us is your mindset, skills, and motivation.

Your English is strong, both spoken and written. The ability to speak, understand, and read Dutch and German is a plus; if not, you must be willing to learn over time. Speaking, understanding, and reading Spanish will be considered an additional advantage.

You will report to the Group HSE Manager and have an office in either Mierlo (preferred), Aachen, or Heinsberg.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a comparable production environment.
• Experience with safety studies like HAZOP and HAZID.
• Always searching for the social connection with all layers of the company.
• Flexibility and standfast, prioritization may shift during the day, but the goal remains.
• You dare to tell people where the boundaries are.

Your qualifications:

• A completed education in safety engineering or a comparable discipline.
• Fluent English (Dutch and German is a plus).
• An organized way of working and reporting.
• Socially relaxed.
• Experienced with Microsoft 365.
• A continuous improvement mindset.
