Due to the growth of GNT we are seeking a

Quality Associate

The Quality Associate will support lab operations by collecting and testing samples for incoming ingredients, finished goods, and production line processes. They will manage lab inventory and supplies, ensure lab sanitation and organization, and collaborate with other departments as needed for ongoing projects.

The role:

  • Perform regular quality checks on ingredients, finished products, and packaging to ensure adherence to both company and industry standards.
  • Collect and prepare samples of incoming ingredients, finished goods, and production batches for testing and analysis.
  • Organize and manage daily sample sets for timely and accurate analysis.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and resolve quality issues when necessary.
  • Oversee lab inventory, ensuring adequate stock of samples and supplies required to support daily operations.
  • Participate and perform in both internal and external audits to confirm compliance with all relevant regulatory and food safety standards.
  • Maintain meticulous lab records and data documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also thriving in a team-oriented setting.
  • Adapt to and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Complete all assigned safety training in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with all required training and ensure timely completion.
  • Follow the Company’s established processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, and product quality guidelines.
  • Maintain a collaborative team mindset while actively supporting GNT’s Food Safety culture.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensure your clothing is neat at all times, and support colleagues in adhering to hygiene standards.

About you, as our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory or production environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and SQF standards.
  • PCQI and HACCP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with an ERP system (Microsoft Business Dynamics)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong record-keeping abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds continuously, 20 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
