MATERIAL SPOTLIGHT
Turmeric
EXBERRY® Shade Bright Yellow is made from on-trend, non-GMO turmeric root that is processed with water using familiar methods such as boiling, pressing and chopping. This bright yellow hue delivers vibrant clarity to a wide variety of applications including confectionery, bakery, cereal, and dairy products, frozen desserts, seasonings, and beverages. It is effective cost-in-use compared to other yellow coloring foods in the EXBERRY® range and is available in liquid, powder, micronized, and organic-certified forms.
Clean-Label EXBERRY® Shade Bright Yellow appeals to consumers who perceive products containing turmeric to be better-for-you due to this raw material’s scientifically proven health benefits. Turmeric, a flowering plant in the ginger family that is native to South Asia, is one of the fastest growing dietary supplements in the United States. According to The Cleveland Clinic, curcumin, turmeric’s most active compound, has the potential to improve symptoms of arthritis and depression and improve heart health. It is also a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Other EXBERRY® colors that contain turmeric include Shade “Lime Green”, Shade “Jade Green”, and Shade “Bright Green” Powder. These bright, clean green hues are now available in both liquid and powder formats.
